Meet the Clear Lake Area Concert Association

The Clear Lake Area Concert Association (CLACA), a membership-supported nonprofit organization based in Clear Lake, Iowa, has been in operation continuously since 1979. Since then, CLACA has been providing high-quality musical performances at a reasonable price, making live entertainment accessible for anyone who wishes to experience it.

This volunteer-run organization showcases a variety of ensemble sizes and musical styles, covering everything from pops/standards, jazz, and light classical favorites to rock, folk, ethnic, the occasional novelty act, and more. Our artists are consummate professionals who deliver top-notch performances, yet are approachable and accessible, and work hard to build rapport with their audiences.

Our association has reciprocity agreements with similar associations in Albert Lea, MN, Algona, Forest City, and Osage. This arrangement allows you to use your CLACA season membership pass for admission to performances in the other communities.

Our season generally coincides with the regular school year. However, to accommodate our many members who are snowbirds, we try to avoid scheduling concerts between December and February. All CLACA shows are at E.B. Stillman Auditorium in Clear Lake. Performance time is generally at 7 p.m. unless otherwise indicated. During most performances, there is an intermission.

We encourage you to take advantage of this terrific cultural opportunity here in your own backyard. Come with a friend, or bring the family! These concerts are a great way to introduce a young person to the experience of live performance. And you can enjoy great music while interacting with the artists in an intimate setting.
